Condegres 2024
From June 24 to 27, the Universidad de Burgos hosted the 10th National Symposium on "Soil Degradation Control and Recovery", where over 150 researchers gathered to discuss strategies for addressing soil health.
Emilia Ferdz-Ondoño efernand presented FENIX Project EU on June 26, detailing our approach to transforming hashtag#biowaste into a sustainable soil improver. The project aims to revitalize Europe’s degraded agricultural land by improving soil quality and water retention. The presentation highlighted how FENIX’s method sequesters carbon, stabilizes nutrients, and significantly reduces biowaste sent to landfills.
The presentation sparked productive discussions on FENIX's practical applications and its potential to address soil health challenges. Researchers showed keen interest in the project’s contribution to sustainable bio-waste management and its role in creating a circular, regenerative process for soil health.
